Trish Kopp Surpasses $200,000 Raised, Outraising Republican Opponent in Key Assembly District 7 Race

SUFFOLK COUNTY, NY — Trish Kopp, Democratic candidate for New York State Assembly District 7, announced today that her campaign has surpassed $200,000 raised, outraising her Republican opponent as momentum continues to build in the competitive open-seat race.

The campaign is also now less than $10,000 away from reaching the maximum available through New York State’s Public Campaign Finance Program, putting Kopp within striking distance of another major fundraising milestone.

Newsday recently highlighted the Assembly District 7 contest as one of the notable State Assembly races this election cycle, as Democrats look to flip the South Shore seat in November.

“Surpassing $200,000 and outraising our Republican opponent sends a clear message: people are ready for change on the South Shore,” said Kopp. “But this campaign isn’t just being built with dollars. It’s being built at front doors, over the phone and through conversations with voters in every corner of this district.”

With less than $10,000 remaining to maximize public financing, the campaign is calling on supporters to help close the gap while continuing to expand its grassroots operation.

“We have the momentum, but now we have to turn that momentum into votes,” Kopp added. “Donate, knock doors, make calls and volunteer. Together, we can flip Assembly District 7 and the South Shore blue.”

The Kopp campaign will continue expanding its door-knocking, phone-banking and voter outreach efforts through Election Day.
